CRE jpx.21 fully broken in.

PostAuthor: NeoBart on Tue Jul 20, 2010 11:03 am

It's finally screaming it's tits off. I did over-lean it so it started stalling on me, which is no wonder after seeing the state of the plug. Grayish coloured filament that was crushed up in the plug a little. This engine is quite happy running lean and doesn't give you any warning. Hell it wasn't even that hot to touch. :D

Ohhh I gotta say running this mill causes me to have a constant grin on my face. :D Now I just need to work on my throttle control. Seeing video of your own driving is quite an eye opener. 8)

Hey Neo, I also run Niels CRE mills (because they work!) I have a Picco P3-28, the P7, and a JL.21. Happy with em all only found the 28 is extreme overkill and you best be one hell of a driver to handle that monster. but between the 2 21's I still like the picco but mainly just for its tone. The JL is an amazing lil screamer and for the whole price or parts price well ... its bloody wonderful.
But was wondering how you have your buggy set? As in what pipe, clutch, diff set up, etc, if you care to share.

Re-reading this I have to add that when I put the 28 into something , fire it up , and do a bit of a run === INSTANT FREAKIN GRINS !!! =D> :D (when I say over powered I was critiquing my driving ability not Niels work)

It's actually suprisingly easy to drive. Now a loose surface and a 13T bell is not a lot of fun, I'll tell you that. 14T is much better for this mill. :D I was really surprised how manageable it was coming from using it in my 8T, but after a few tanks I was used to it. Love the instant power that's available, when traction allows. 8)
