It's been a interesting journey, without the Dude it would have never happened. \:D/ But here is the final product mounted on my new LST2 FD conversion. Should be a blast to drive.

Nitro truck is done also but it's buttoned up and ready to race this weekend.

That does look nice? I assume that it is compatable with the TiNi gears as well?

What is the advantage of this again? (not trying to be a smart ass...just couldn't remember).

Nice pics Henry, setup looks real good. TheDude hub looks terrific. Are you using a traditional clutch setup, or have you got something special inside the CB?

No clutch. There is a pinion epoxied to the inside.

Yes. the TI gear stock and high speed will fit.
The advantage is almost 1.2 ounces of rotating mass removed.
No OWB to fail.
Since most of our trucks shift out of first in about 2-3 feet we don't need it. Once it is removed the truck is easier to drive hard off the line and smoother on the track.

For me it's made the truck more reliable.
On my brushless setup you can actually use reverse in the motor for bashing, or practice with no marshells.

Never though about being able to use reverse with that.

I have mine but, not installed. I just wanted to play around with two speed first. Those running these, does the truck still do crazy wheelies and have the insane acceleration?

Mine does more wheelies than it did with the 2 speed, i think the 1 way was having trouble with the torque that i was putting through it.

Can I get some feedback on people using this hub and the 427 engine. I fear it may lack power. Thinking 928 again. :?

Stick with the 427. Works fine. 928's have to much power in most situations and are a b..tch to tune. I should have stuck with the 427 from that start at the nats as engine issues breaking in and tunning my 427 cause me major headaches.

unfortunately, I can attest to Keith's woes at the nats. Once we got the 427 in tune, he was fine and 3 seconds from bumping to the A after a few minutes out due to a blown plug. ALMOST...

We thought it might be underpowered on such a big air track with the one-speed, but it wasn't at all.

Just tried the 1 speed finally tonight after my one way started slipping again. I did notice alot of heat building up in my input shaft. I don't think it is the One speed hub I think it's something else. The heat was there before I remove first gear and I think that may be why my 1 way bearing is slipping. The One speed works great with my 427, but I would recommend it for track use as driving it around in the grass heated the Motor up pretty good.

Thanks man,,
Stop and go driving will increase wear and heat on the clutch shoes and bell. The hub is recommended for track racing and big area bashing. Think of it like starting out in 2nd or 3rd gear in your manual car or truck. Not a problem with hwy driving but will kill your clutch in the city,,,.

Hey guys,
I have 10 going but It will be later this week before I can finish them. I've been tied up with a work project these past few weeks. I have PM requests for all 10, (you know who you are). When I get these guys taken care of I will try to devote more time to the motor mount.

Thanks,,,
duder.
