TD-Racing Website

PostAuthor: TheDude on Thu Oct 30, 2008 5:14 am

Hey guys,
I am working on the website so you all can purchace directly from there through paypal.
It's a very simple site with all the products there. I'll be adding to it with upcoming designs, pics, assy instructions, tips and useful info etc.
I hope to have it up and running by the time the mounts and adapters are in stock, ~2 weeks....

LSTforum Moderators, I hope it's ok to post this here instead of in the general section. Most folks look in here for updates.

Thanks!

When are you gonna come beat on it @ RCHQ again 2D? I dispensed with all the Revo's last week; I need an LST to race with!

The hub has been GOLDEN on my E-LST2 as well. It's nice when something functions so well that you don't even think about any more.

You say that you will have the mounts in stock in 2 weeks? If so, will it be for whoever wants them, or is it just the first 9 on the list? Im really excited to get one, Im really itching to buy some rc parts, and the motor mount is my first priority. Can't wait to get my grubby hands on one! [-o<

Given the durability and great feedback I've recieved so far on all my parts I am investing in getting a stock of all of them.
As for the mounts,,,
I will have 30 mounts in stock in 2-3 weeks. I can only guess at my vendor schedules at this point, as I'm sure many of you also deal with. The batch of 9 that I am making in my shop are extras. That batch has been reduced to 7 as one jumped out of the mill while cutting the angle and the other got bored out too large, blah blah,,,, poop happens.

With my purchacing 30 through a local shop there is no waiting list anymore like there was before. Although I will honor those first and send them PMs' for their mount before I "open the gates" for the rest.

Before, with the hubs, collets, etc I was working on a batch of 10 while I had requests for 15, so some folks always had to wait. I am working to eliminate anyone being left out. Please bear with me here as you all know I do still work a full time + job,, (waahh-waahhhhh) hahaha

And soon all info and purchasing will be on my weak a$$ website,,,, I'm no webdesigner, I'm a metal worker....

I am down to racing just once a week, I will be at RCHQ soon, but not this weekend. LSTNEWB has not been able to get near me on the track in several months.... :D

Hey guys!
The TD-Racing website is now up and running.
I am no webmaster, by no means, but it's up and of coarse I will be adding to it daily.
My main goal was to get the product page working properly so you guys can order from there instead of having to pm me with details, then me send an invoice, then you pay, then I ship,, etc. etc.... that was getting to be a hassle for both you and me.

Now it's EASY! All your favorite Dude parts are listed in the products section!! And it's an "add to cart" setup.
Visit my site, order what you want. Secure checkout through paypal. Change quantities as you need, click "continue shopping" and continue building your order until it is complete. Click check out and DONE! Click the "View cart link at any time and review your order as you shop. Delete items or change quantities in the cart page, click update cart and your set.

NOTE!
All quantities are set to zero for right now, so if you build an order, when you click checkout it is going to deny you sales and tell you that all your items are OUT OF STOCK.

I do have the hubs in stock, but Ive noticed that folks are waiting for pinion adapters and motor mounts before they purchace so I set them to zero as well.
All parts will show in stock soon. Just wanted to go ahead and open it up and get your opinions.

Check it out,,,,

All the links on the left side have not been done yet. You should be able to go to the products page and the tips and helpfull info.
I mainly wanted to get the products up there for ease of purchase for you guys. The "more info" link will take you to more detailed info about that part.

Let me know if anything else funny is going on with it.

Thanks guys!

The only things I see is the paypal text hovering over the email link...(see attached)
And the other is that the page height is bigger than it needs... I'm no HTML guru(actually, I know squat), but I think if you set the height to 100% instead of hard coading it, it should automatically resize correctly for everybody's browser.... I dunno...

Great looking site, good job =D>

Thanks for the feeback guys.
Is anyone seeing these overlaps when zoom level is set to 100%?

I still have to figure how to make the pages scalable,,, hmm.
The only links that are set up from the home page are the products page and the tips page.
I havent finished and uploaded the others yet. Just at least wanted to get the site working so you guys could order from it.
Will save us both time and aggrivation.

I'll hopefully have more time to work on it some more this weekend.

Thanks!

It appears to be browser specific... IE7 has the issue... but Google's Chrome doesn't....

Well, I'm stuck with it the way it is for now. Nothing in the help files addresses this issue. Maybe due to the cheap software I'm using is limited, oh well. Looks are one thing,, but I wanted function first of all.

Now for an update...
I will have in stock ALL my parts, including the motor mounts, Single speed hubs and Collet pinion adapters on Tuesday next week. I will open up the stock qtys on the website and you guys can purchase as you have been waiting for. Thanks for your patients, again,,
Now my products are much easier to purchace.

Also I will be putting together a "kit" price that includes one of each, Motor Mount, pinion adapter and single speed hub.

You may want to try learning HTML (and possibly css and php or ror) to try to fix the problems rather than using a program. Its a lot easier to use a program but you can do a lot more doing it your self.
