No, I couldn't install one because the new era roll bar takes up the only remaining chassis screw hole in the area where one could possibly install a brace.

Look where my brace is mounted on my basher. That should work for you even with the role bar.

I honestly think that your filter braeking was a fluke. I have beat the hell out of mine and it hasn't broke there yet.

I just ordered mine! I order the one for my LST2, and one for my Hyper 7. Expensive lil buggers! But I know I use to have one on my On-Road Nitro and it worked GREAT. I almost never had to clean it. Off-road will be a little dirtier, but should still last alot longer than the exposed foam.

I sent em an E-Mail requesting the brackets, hopefully the'll send em to me!

Overkill: Thanks for those pics. I got the jist of it...now to find me a few parts from my scrap bin to make a filter brace :D

Full maxx: E-mail motorsaver and tell them that you'd like to test out their filter and they'll send you one for free. Thats how everyone on this thread got one. Tell them which part numbers you want by looking at their site and they should send them to you if the testing promotion is still on. Good luck.

I like that clip that is on the bottom of Overkill's last post. That looks like it would hold the filter tube to the carb as good as my 3/4" external snap ring and be a lot easier to take off and put on. 8)

SJ,
So you said you like the stock lst2 elbow better than the one that comes with the motor-saver? Will the stock elbow work on the LRP spec 3 .28?

Nice. :) I just put one on my truck last weekend, used the stock elbo and the longest support down to a servo screw. Works great and if it comes off I have more to worry about than the filer.
XXL, ZR.30, and some other stuff :)

Here is a pic of my install. I've got the LRP ZR.30 in my XXL, but it should be the same for most mills. You need to use the longest bracket, otherwise the filter bumps the carb slide when it comes all the way out.

I have the older style one w/the front screen and the thing is a pain in the a** to get apart to clean so how the hell are they just falling out ,Although I did just pick it up at the lhs about 3weeks ago so maybe they fixed that problem because they still sell them and theres no disclaimer saying warning the front may fall off for no reason

Will the stock XXL air filter elbow work with the New MotorSaver?

If not, which model should I get?

MSF151691 Motor Saver Large 1/8 Scale Off-Road Truggy/Buggy Air Filter

or

Motor Saver Large 1/8 Scale Off-Road Truck Air Filter

Thanks.
